Need help with mini arrow maiden

Need help with my mini arrow. Took it for a maiden today and it keeps wanting to dive to the ground. I felt I had the cg nailed perfectly but now I'm wondering if I'm too nose heavy. I've never flown a wing before so I'm not sure what to expect. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Did you build it to have slight positive elevator like show in the video?

Yes I did. I used the included jig to set it.
Hmmm....Giving it enough throttle? I just flew my brothers yesterday and I found you have to make sure you give it enough throttle otherwise it like to go towards the ground but once it gets up in the air it flies great!

How are you launching your Arrow? The technique for flying wings (which I’m still getting used to) is a bit different from planes with a fuselage. I found launches pretty difficult the first time I flew an Arrow, and I think that definitely contributed to my lack of success, so maybe that’s worth looking into?

Yeah, make sure you throw it at a steep enough angle. (If you do it at like 5-10 degrees it tends to dive too fall before it can pick up speed.)

All great tips. Thank you very much. I discovered I was slightly tail heavy as well so having all these tips and having the cg sorted should really help. I'll let you know how it goes.

Making it less tail heavy will make the tendency to dive greater. If you were already tail heavy, then I’m guessing that you just need more up trim. The jig won’t make it perfect.

Happy to report a successful maiden. Reducing the nose weight did the trick. It's still a tad nose heavy and could use a little more eleven deflection but it was flyable and a lot of fun.
Thanks for all the help!
I'm learning that these wings are very sensitive to CG adjustments and a more precise method for ensuring it is accurate is important.

Glad to hear it’s working! I read in a Magazine, that you can take a piece of wood, drill some holes in it, and stick unused pencils in eraser side up. Then you can accurately figure out where your CG is.

I just go too nose heavy and tune it out as I fly.....Otherwise I always go too tail heavy...

Glad you got it working! I really like flying the Arrow too!

I found a foolproof way to accurately measure cg on the arrow. Turn it upside down, scre two small eyelet screws in the CG marks. Tie some string or thread to them and hang it from your fingers. Let it settle out and see where you are. Voila! Works perfectly.
