Need redesign opinions

So, I scratch-built this 40" wing today. But, the problem is that I cant balance it. I dont have enough battery and component weight to get it balanced, and I fear I'd have to add too much dead weight to be practical. So, I have thought about cutting out the nose and making it longer, or, building a "Synapse-type" electronics pod to mount underneath and forward.
What would you do? Construction wise, it came out too nice for me to want to junk it. IMG_20160415_205753_359.jpg

Can you cut out the motor mount and move it forward? How about move the servos farther forward?
I thought about cutting out the motor area; but, there is a fiberglass spar right at the back of it. The servos are actually on the CG line and up to the main spar, and at 9grams, I dont think they will help any farther forward. Right now, two 2200mah 3s batteries won't balance it all the way to the nose. I am leaning towards adding 4" to the nose.
