Need some suggestions

Hi, my meme is Jacob and i appreciate this website. I'm a small farmer looking to buy my first drone. I am looking for something that will just fly around a preset pattern every 20 min. and return to a charging station for bird control. Nothing exciting just simple. Is such a creature manufactured? Most ag drones are expensive and multifunctional, so it'd be overkill for me. It's likely, you folks would be the ones that would know where something like this would come from. I appreciate any help thanks!

I'm not aware of anything that will do this automatically, without your intervention.
Even if this existed, I don't think it would be effective for bird control. The birds pretty much ignore my drones.

They don’t ignore my little 350mm P51! They chase it. 😆. Until I chase the back that is. 🤣

You can make a drone that will fly pattern automatically but it can be tricky to make.....If you wanted it for checking crops ect I would recommend a DJI mini 3 pro... Like @Merv said, I am not sure if it would keep birds away...It might at first, but they would probably catch on. BTW what kind of birds are they?

Don't use chrome monokote covering if you have red tailed hawks, unless the craft is hawk proof. Small shiny bits are ok, but a 2 meter mirror wing panel just makes them mad.

I suppose when the craft returns home after a circuit, it lands on a charge pad?
Noisy as heck from props helps some also.

I may have misunderstood what you where wanting. There are plenty of choices that will fly a predetermined mission and land without your intervention. However you will need to launch it and recharge the battery. I'm not aware of anything that you can program to charge itself and fly a mission on a pre determined schedule.

Regarding bird control, here are some sites that may help.

You can also build your own quadcopter or hexacopter (based on your requirements). ArduPilot allows the user to perform autonomous missions and includes a return-to-launch feature

But get ready for some head scratching when you try to setup ArduPilot! JK :ROFLMAO: INAV is easier, but you can do a lot more coll stuff with ArduPilot...

Hahaha😂, very true! ArduPilot’s setup definitely feels like a puzzle sometimes, but it’s worth it for all the cool stuff you can do once it’s running

Maybe put a ad out on Facebook Makret place or something for hunters to come and take care of them...If they are crows or starlings they usually are legal to hunt...And if they are crows, you won't have to even have to hit any of them and they usually won't come back for a LONG time!😂 (Have them go on the borders of the field, then in future the crows will take a route around your property most of the time.(y))
