I scratched built a Scout XL awhile back but it crashed on takeoff. I think it was caused by me having to make the wing removable in order to fit it into my car. I am sure that FT have made a better job of a removable wing in this new version. I recovered the XL power pack from my first build and have a couple of 3300mAh batteries. It also looks like a scratch build is possible as Josh states that the plans are available for paid FTCA members.

Actually I really wanted to see a Stick XL and did make a start on scaling it up by 139% but like so many other projects it too got put on the back burner.
