New guy! Which power pack should I get?

I am quite new to Flite Test planes and still relatively new to the fixed wing hobby. I received the Nutball, Flyer, and Delta 3 pack for Christmas and was wondering which power pack i should get. I am thinking that in the future I will be buying more swappable planes. That being said I do not have a lot of money to work with so i will only be able to build 1 maybe 2 power pods.Which would you recommend that would work well across multiple swappable planes? Thank you so much for the help.

I can't be overly helpful in which one to choose but I can help in what not to choose. I went with the "Kraken" motor to start with and it's a heck of a motor for most standard swappables. It's MUCH too heavy! It's the Turnigy D3536/6. It's a great motor but the smallest airframe that I've gotten to work well with that heavy of a motor is the Storch. But at 500w of power it's a blast in the Storch! Lol

From reading and watching the videos I think the Blue Wonder is going to be the best as far as versatile with some room to grow. But a Park 300 would probably be plenty for the 3 kits you currently have.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in! Good luck and happy flying!!

According to the store there will be three power packs:

  • Power Pack A for Minis
  • Power Pack B for small fixed wings
  • Power Pack C for large fixed wings

I'm guessing the C will be kind of the "beef" motor for smaller wings too.

I would get both the slow fly setup and the beef set up. you will need different power for different planes, and those two motors are pretty good starting points for all of the FT planes.
