Since I've already built an FT kit and am eyeballing another, I guess it was time to go ahead and join the discussion.
Earlier this year I grabbed a Bloody Baron kit to as something to go with a motor (GPower D2836 1120kv) and 30A ESC I already had that needed a home. I had fun building it, but wasn't sure how it was going to do at the field. My only mod was to add some rubbery foam skids to the bottom rails on each side the pack to protect it when landing.
Wow! Propped with a 10x4.5, this thing is an excellent flying plane and bunches of fun on a 3S 1400 pack. It launches with an easy toss on 1/3 throttle and low (50% 25 expo) rates. Flip on the high rates and this thing gets exciting with an amazing roll rate. It now always gets tossed in the truck when I head to the field.
A Bloody Wonder may have to get added to the collection. I'm not decided if I want to swap the power pod back and forth with the Baron or do something else.
