New to Taranis and trying to get started with opentx companion

I’ve been flying rc models since 1884.
I have a 9XD plus SE 2019 and can’t get opentx companion to work.
I have been able to download SD card content,companion 2.3.9 on iMac,but trying to back up firmware or EEPROM get
no radio found.
I can get the message USB connected after using 3 finger salute power on to access bootloader.
I get the OTX 2.3.0 on screen and after 20 minutes the 2 drives didn’t appear.
Anyway I’m stuck there.

Hmmmm. iMac.... sorry, can't help with that. I do Linux, windoze, and a ton of other fun stuff, but unfortunately no Macpple stuff.

My usb cord was bad.
Used a different one and there it was.
