Solved Newb No Throttle Confusion

I'm almost to the finish line building my very first RC plane, the FT Mini Tiny Tutor. I purchased the Kit, so it came with the red Radiomaster Pocket controller and R84 receiver.

Following the video instructions, binding the TX and Rx was no problem, but then I ran into a problem I can't wrap my head around:
The rudder and elevator work just fine, but I have no throttle.

I assumed that I had made a mistake and verified all the connections on the RX:
Channel 1 = Rudder (verified on Tx)
Channel 2 = Elevator (verified on Tx)
Channel 3 = ESC / Motor (However OUTPUT on Tx settings shows this as blank)
Channel 4 = Empty (OUTPUT on Tx shows this is connected?)

So I did the sensible thing and moved the ESC connector to Channel 4 on the Rx.

This resulted in weird behavior; if I move the left stick on the Tx to the right, I get THROTTLE ... and if I move the right stick rudder to right I ALSO GET THROTTLE and right RUDDER at the same time!

I've tried clearing and rebinding and triple checking all of the connections and made no progress.

I put everything back into channels 1,2,3 as they should be and RESET the Channel 4 output. It no longer shows any connection.

I've again tried rebinding multiple times and still NO THROTTLE. The Tx still shows Channels 1 and 2 working (and they move the rudder and elevator just fine), but that's it ... no other Channels have a connection and no throttle.

My instinct is the R84 Rx is bad. Before I order another one (or pitch the whole thing in the garbage), any suggestions are welcome.

Post pictures of your inputs and mixes tabs. What model in the radio did you use as a template? It is possible that there is a throttle cut enabled that prevents the throttle from being output. I highly doubt that it is an issue with the R84.

I agree with LB, you've likely got a throttle cut activated. It a safety feature. While we are taking about safety. Be sure to remove the prop until you get this sorted out. You don't want the prop to start unexpectedly.

By your comments, you may be misinterpreting output screen on the transmitter. It's not showing if something is connected, it showing what the Tx is transmitting on that channel. If the bar on the throttle channel's not moving, the Tx isn't transmitting a movement. Likely because the throttle cut is on.

Yes, a throttle cut setting was to blame. I guess I selected the SA button (upper left trigger button) at some point, and that -- through the default settings -- disabled the throttle.

Thanks for your help on this.
