Newbie to foam

Hi all, I am new to foam I flew rc and control line back in the 70’s. Nope I’m not revealing my age
Flew pattern for years Been out for years
I’m retiring soon (still not revealing my age)
So it back to flying r/c I sold my light sport
and am now going to build a foamie of it

When I first built an ft comet it was made from foam with a brown paper back
Did they change? I noticed it’s all white now The local family dollar didn’t have Adam’s Good news is there was a slot for it I just ordered A
Box from ft

Love the projects everybody has in process
If anyone is interested I’ll post pictures as the project progress

Btw it’s Challenger 2 Cw

i've read about the brown stuff, but only used white from dollar tree. i just started back in 2020.

Yeah they have changed from the brown stuff to white (I think they did in 2020 but I could be wrong) the new stuff is still water resistant (like the old stuff) and it has stronger adhesives than the brown stuff but otherwise its the same. i like it better than the stuff from the dollar store.
