what up guys.
Just logged in for the First time after years. I remember this Forum from it’s very begins and it Fills me with joy looking that it is still active today!
This Forum was one of maybe 2/3 Forums i was madly addicted to in my youth in the age of 13-16ish. Going through my old posts Here makes me just as happy as sad. Happy to have got to know this Hobby not only for crashes and Long Build Nights but also for Connections with People, Personal Development and Social Skills and so on. And sad only for the Fact Not having the time to Participate Regularly and Helping beginners in Forums or in real life, just like i got all the help from here for example.
And the set of Skills i learned from These years like Manually flying Helis, planes and nitro Cars was unimaginable. The Stuff i can Build, repair or just „figure“ out is in big Parts thanks to you.
Every now and then i find myself diving back into this Knowledge and needing it but coming at much more ease as in earlier years. Even of it is just soldering a broken cable in the Kitchen or treating my Next Patient in Surgery.
The Point i want to get to is:
Im happy and extremely grateful for the opportunity of the Internet and ultimately all You gave me here at that time and Having been „addicted“ to THIs rather then all the other possibilities out there. It has made every aspect of Model making to a Safe haven for me and it’s always an Option for me to ground myself however bad the day was.
This is neither flown nicely Nor Special: But i have done it myself and You all know the thrill going through your Head While flying over water. So it’s also in Parts your results from a compassionate yet not too much time invested hobbyist:
