There are still things everyone assumes everyone knows. Unfortunately the only way for these to surface is the expert stumbling onto the mistake and fixing it. You'll know you hit something when the noob says "oh -- that's how to do that".
Perhaps have a noob road show -- like the antique show, only noob scratch builds they're having trouble with.
Setting would be similar to the out at the flying field episodes, perhaps with quick swaps for a short commentary.
dunno how you'd do a "call for noobness" or how other set up, but if you could catch us noobs doing these subtle things, many others would benefit from pointing out what everyone takes for granted.
