Octoquad Revision

I finally got around to working on my revision to the Rocktopus. I wanted to modify it to have as little post print processing as possible.

To accomplish this I:
1. Cut the head off
2. Hollowed out the main body and head
3. Placed holes in the bottom for wire routing
4. Added internal clips to hold the head on
5. Redesigned the motor mount to hold a wider variety of motors

I haven't got a chance to print it myself in it's entirety, I also don't have the parts to make it work even if I did although I'm thinking about scaling it down for my Gremlin parts, but the motor measurements are solid and I did test the clips and they held fairly well. The inner cavity is 83mm wide at the thinnest point so there shouldn't be any FC placement issues either.

Anyways, here's the Thingiverse link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2560296

If any of you use it let me know how it works out!

Thanks!

Is this the one they used for this episode?

Yes it is! Somewhere around the middle of the video they talk about how they actually cut up the printed part to make it work and I just figured there had to be a better way than literally cutting and carving out the material.

Just realized I'm gonna have to do a little more work on this.

It's way bigger than it should be, like "wouldn't fit the Taz 6 without being cut up" big. I finished this up late last night and didn't do my measuring correctly. Oops...

I'll update it ASAP.

Finally updated the size!

It will now fit in a 200x200mm print area. Max M4 screws and 20mm screw spacing.
