Officially Starting my Journey...again after 30 years!

Had a productive weekend. I cut out the remaining foam parts and finally began building. I was able to get the Power Pod and Wing put together.

I centered the servos, but they don't seem to align exactly at 90 degrees nor even match in alignment... So I placed the arms as best I could, then moved on to building the power pod and wing.

For the future, I need to invest in a better hot glue gun. I purchased a $7 one from Walmart. It seemed to work well when I built the EZ glider. It worked fine when I put together the power pod. However, once I put in the second stick, midway through building the wing, it became difficult to use. At one point, I was pushing the glue stick into the gun when pulling the trigger.

commercial glue sticks are 3ft long 1/2" diameter. They also need a commercial gun. But it's enough glue to build a half dozen various planes. And the glue has custom handling qualities. I have a long set glue that you can reposition for 2-3 minutes before it goes rock hard. I use it instead of bolts on some parts of my car.

I use this one: https://www.amazon.ae/KEMAISI-Temperature-Adjustable-Premium-Constrution/dp/B08RJBLF46 and it will get SOO hot that it can give you blisters if you get any on you when its set too high....Probably overkill but you can just keep pumping and pumping and it will jet keep going even when its on low temp (About 160c is what i like to use). I found it in this video along with some to avoid:

Progress continues! Got the fuselage, elevator, and rudder put together. Along with the rudder and elevator servos installed.

Oh, and an update. Getting better with the hot glue gun. Worked fine this evening.

Ok, so I got the top in place, wing installed, alleron servos installed, receiver bound, subtrim set, and needed servos reversed.

However, I noticed when I plug in the battery to the ESC tonight, I not getting the normal sounds. I get the initial beeps, but I don't get the 3 beeps indicating that it's a three-cell battery, etc. Here is a video of what I hear:

It does this whether I'm plugged into the receiver or not.

It sounded correct when I built the power pod and was testing the motor direction (with a servo tester).

I should add, everything, including the motor seems to work when plugged in. But I have a feeling something is not right as it does not sound correct to me.

Any ideas?

This happens when the ESC is getting no signal..once you plug it into your receiver and it is bound to your transmitter it should do everything normally (y)

Thank you very much for the quick reply!!!

Here is what it sounds like plugged into the receiver. It's not giving me the three beeps indicating it's a three cell battery.

Not sure if that's normal or not. I'm just expecting it since that's what I typically hear on others videos and what I thought I heard in the beginner series.
