One good throw

When I throw my tiny trainer into the wind with a slight upward angle and 1/2 to 1/3 throttle with an s3 battery 6x3 prop the first thing I have to do is grab a hand full of up elevator to keep it from hitting the ground level. Set up is with a slight nose heavy CG. Once in the air seems to be ok. All flight surfaces are flat and level. My question is do I need to throw it harder ?

No you should not have to throw a plane very hard unless it is a glider relying on your own strength. The purpose of the toss is to give it some initial momentum. The motor should be the main factor to accelerate the airframe...give it more throttle and make sure your release angle isn't too high.

Properly trimmed running a 6x3 prop my TT will almost drift out of my hand but I have to give it throttle. :)

I launch at full throttle with a very gentle toss and the plane pretty much flies itself until I get my thumbs on the sticks.
