This is a plane for all types of weather. Plane is stable in all kinds of wind, fly it all year around, and if you leakproof it and add a water rudder, once you can handle takeoffs and landings, go for the pond or lake. Best of all, it can be used in snow as is. No skis needed and notice that takeoff length.

In winter, I have flown it in fresh pow-pow as well as crusty ice, and the size is excellent, just chuck in the car. Care to do acrobatics and practice landings so you can improve to put it were you want to. Well, go to RCgroups and look for plans for the "Durango" in the foam area. Believe you could adapt it out of Adam's foamboard and do not change the angle of pitch of the motor/prop.

That looks great! :)

on water without pontoons?
Actually it does have the pontoons, the segment under the 2 rudders is built to handle as the pontoons and combined with the wide fuse, it is very stable in water for takeoffs and landings. Has plenty of power to take off in a short distance.
