wait you have a air patrol service?
A big part of what cap does is help in emergencies. For example, if somebody is lost in a forest and the nearby authorities don't have enough aircraft for their search operation, civilians that are in cap can use their planes and help out. It isn't just stuff like this though, I think that they do more than that but not sure.

So.. Anyone else getting fired up for Cyberpunk 2077 release? I did the preorder and the stuff comes here on Monday. Cant wait. Been watching tons of videos because I was worried over my computer being able to run it decently even after the recent upgrade.

Anyways.. I got an email that Amazon had given out a digital code which I thought was the download code for Cyberpunk. I managed to get into my old GoG account (AND change access and pass words..) only to find out it is a digital comic book version of cyber punk. I will check that out later and report back.

While there I pressed the "free" games button to see what was available and came across a game prologue (aka demo...) for a game called "The Rift Breaker". Turns out it seems like a pretty good game. The full version is not out til sometime in 2021. The premise is you have to train up to travel and get a foothold on a planet at the outer reaches of the Milky Way. You start out in a super exoskeletal mech suit with a few cool weapons and you have to start a base so you can harvest materials to build the portal back to Earth so we can colonize it as well as send much needed resources back home efficiently.

Its a combination of build sim, pve exploration and crafting mashed into a modded version of tower defense with a little bit of competition level starcraft attacks happening. the end of the demo gives you a little taste of that and you had better do your research and material gathering for the upgrades. You need to craft to upgrade and or research better things or new buildings to aid you. Then once you have the initial base you need to go to new parts of the planet to get access to higher level crafting stuff which obviously has higher level resistance to fight off. So you stay super busy the entire time you play.

Grafix were super smooth and very detailed. The devs have come up with their own game engine and I think it is on par or better then Crysis or Unreal game engines. I was able to run the demo with full on max gfx and my fans for the video card didnt spool up once. I think the highest temp I saw was 54c.

I'm going to eat and then run thru it again but do my dig in and max out strategy just to see if I can hold off that end battle. I only lost one part of my complete assets having my main base and three resource farming areas. I lost the newest one half way thru the second huge wave and had to fall back to the next closest and managed to stay alive and hold most of that area before they game said I did enough and pulled me out. The demo is basically a training sim to see if you are a fit for the real mission and I was told I was "adequate" and allowed to go on the real mission hehe.

Darn.. tried to upload some artwork but they have super high res.. over 4k and the forum wont take something that big even as a thumbnail. guess Ill just drop the IGN trailer here instead.

I am a roadie. Just picked up my first recumbent. It's a used Volae Club high racer. I wonder how many people have owned this thing and who made which misguided changes. The frame and components are solid showing a LOT of use, but the "original" wheelset looks almost brand new. The seat framing and ALL the cabling is a real cluster. But for as cheap as it was, I'll redo those with primo cabling and have my buddy build a better seat frame.
Have you ever heard of Rans Bikes?

My hobbies tend to be aviation related. I love to build things so any thing that looks like it could fly or be built will most likely be done by me at some point. Currently I am making a scale plastic model of a B24 liberator. The model with the nose turret

Wow is Cyberpunk ever big on a learning curve. Controls are nothing like any of the other games I play. They give a great picture of what all the controls are on an Xbox controller but ZERO effort for computer players. You have to go thru the tutorial and quick memorize stuff or keep going back to the controls editor to see what is what. anyway got thru training did a bunch of jobs and hit a wall with no guidance as far as a quest track.. Every 5 steps new missions get added and your tracker gets insane super fast. Its not even like they unlock at certain levels they just dump em all as you trigger each area. You can just look on the map to do that....

Anyway just did up a new character tonight and did the training and the first few missions to get your implant and cyber deck for hacking. Got a few weak sauce articles of clothing for armor too. Just logged out to grab a nap so I fhured Id drop a screen shot of the new avatar before I hit the hay.
