My first sub 250 g plane was never intended to be sub 250 g but is a 'bitsa'. There was no 250 g class when it was built in 2015!

The wing was originally on a 2m powered glider but it folded after pulling too many g so just the outer panels were 'cannibalised' into a 1020 mm (40") wing and added to a minimum cross section pod and boom fuselage. The maximum fuselage cross section being set by the dimensions of the 850 mAh 3s. All 2 & 3mm Depron with just a small amount of balsa in the spar flanges. All the electrics are reused items.
The 1500 kV Blue Wonder is carefully streamlined and drives a 7x6 prop.

It uses three 3.7 g servos (ailerons and elevator) and weighs 219g ready to go.
Batter than 1:1 thrust to weight and with a slight under cambered Eppler wing section it glides pretty slowly. With just minimum power cruising it can & has flown for 1 hour.
It is still flown in the right conditions.
