What would you want in an app aimed at RC pilots? Of the listed features what is the most important to you as an RC pilot? What feature is missing from the list?

The Geeky Pilot
Group or Pilot locator.. I think FT is already working on this. The issue is for it to really work you need a large userbase.

My list in priority order would be:
  1. Airfield locator
  2. Group or Pilot locator
  3. Weather/Wind information for the airfield
  4. Flight Log and Battery management logging
    • Date
    • Plane
    • Flight duration
    • Battery ID
    • Capacity of battery used (most likely from charger when re-charging)

Really, everything on your poll would be nice but the items I voted for and listed I think should be the priority and everything else can be added in later versions.

Here is a list of features that i would want, simply based off of the my bookmarks that i go to often:

Watts/volts/ohm calculator
Delta/Flying wing CG calculator
MAH/C Rating calculator to tell you max amp draw on a battery
Amps/MAH Flight time Calculator
FPV/RC range calculator (frequency and tx/rx antenna choices)

My taranis has a timer with minute callouts, so dont need that.

Thinking of the Taranis, I have an idea for an extreme stretch: download logs off the Taranis and attach them to flight logs and be able to display the information in the logs and/or generate flight logs from the Taranis log files. But that can wait until all other features are working.
