When do a quick test run taking off if it speeds along and the tail want to raise is that a good sign of it flying the nose goes up to

It depends on the type of plane. If it's a tail dragger (tail drags on the ground) then the tail will lift as it gets up to speed. But it's not really an indication that it will fly.

Mid wing sounds tail heavy for a conventional wing but it depends on the wing. What kind of plane are you referring to?

The CG is very dependent on the shape of the wing. Google some online CG calculators to help get a lbs estimate.

It a trainer and it has a flat bottom wing

So it's a rectanglular wing? It's the planform (shape of wing when you are looking at it from the top) that is important for estimating the CG.

Okay. Try to get it to balance at 25% - if you can't move your battery or esc far enough forward you can add nose weight.
