Went with these so far, till I have the money to buy from FT one day! Any recs on a ESC and servos/battery?

Buy the motor, ESC and propeller as a set. It'll work out much cheaper. This one works well on planes the size of the Simple Scout:

There's a lot of other ones if you want smaller or bigger.
