Pre-beginner looking to get into FPV

Hello all!

I’ve been into aviation all my life and started taking an interest in starting RC flying I saw an epic video of a guy with an FPV setup and goggles in his fighter jet aircraft. The darn planes had working flight displays, that’s awesome!

How do I get into doing that? I thought about getting an FMS 1500mm 182 since it seems good for a beginner aircraft with a learning curve and has a transparent cockpit. What do I need to get started on the FPV stuff? How much should I budget for the entire endeavor, airplane included?

I wonder how long the guy in the video had been FPV flying and how much he had spent to get to that stage?.
I fear the answer is years and at considerable cost.
Learners tend to have ambitions well beyond their skill and understanding. The end result is usually early disappointment.
Start cheap and simple and learn how to fly RC first. Then progress in stages to more complex set ups including FPV.
