Motor: sunnysky x2303 kv1500
propeller: APC 9"6
ESC: skywalker 20A

Have not dicided what battery to use. Probably 800mAH. 1000mah might be a bit heavy because I plan to use 5mm foamboard making the plane.

That motor is a bit too small, it will fly but it won't do 3D. You will have to keep it very light (200g RTF).

Here’s my build:

I used black foamboard and peeled all the paper except for the squares on the bottom of the wing and elevator to give a checkerboard pattern.

I used 1mm carbon fiber stringing to give more rigidity which was definitely needed after peeling the paper.

I 3D printed control horns and the motor mount. Lmk if anyone wants the STL’s, I’m happy to share them

I’m using a tmotor AT2303 1500kv motor with an APC 8x4.1SF prop and 450 3s packs. It’s got plenty of power and punch on this setup.

I finally got a maiden in, unfortunately I was fighting a little wind (you feel every gust with a plane this light) so my flying is all over the place, but first impressions are good, it feels really nice in the air! My rudder servo decided to die on me, and you can hear it locking up and is the reason for the “crash” so I need to get a new one on order. Once I can get a flight in calmer weather, I’ll post another video!

Thanks! Not yet, but I’ll get some tomorrow. I still want to add some vinyl decals, but dollar tree didn’t have any when I checked last week.
