Prop pitch

Quick background info, I'm studying Applied Science at college and for one of my assignments I get to do an experiment of my choice. So I've chosen to bring in an engine and see how propeller pitch affects the RPM of the engine.

Just wondering, has anyone tested anything like this before, anyone know of any results I could look at and reference?

There are lots of test with both different pitch and diameter on almost every flight engine manufactured.
Search for motorcalc to find a theoritcal and also based on practical tests.
