On Friday May 20th, the New Jersey Drone User Group is running the first annual Propeller FPV competition at Pier A on the Hudson River in Hoboken, New Jersey. This event will be part of the Propeller Festival full day (9am to 10pm) Technology meets Music Experience culminating in an on stage musical extravaganza. It will include exhibitors of all types of technology such as Red Bull FIFA Gaming zone, a 6ft blimp with live show video, Dronies (UAV selfies), audio VR with Audible.com and much more.... Hopefully Eric Williams (the AMA NJ/NY area group leader) will join us too.
Qualifying is open to all experienced FPV racers from the metro area and starts next Saturday, where the top 10 winners will go through to the final to be held in front of 5,000 to 8,000 people and live streamed on the Web. Come strut your stuff against the best in our area and take home an engraved overall winners trophy.
To sign up for this first of a kind and exciting event, go to http://MeetUp.com/Nj-Dug/events and pick which of the three meetings best suit your schedule. For those City slickers, transport can be arranged from the nearby station or UBER to the field for a very low fee. Spectators are more than welcome plus we're looking for Timekeepers, Judges and most important - Marshals.
Questions, call Nick the Brit.... 973-614-8385
