Okay, If I were you I'd wait until I got a lipo because it would fly a lot better than a NIMH you might still be able to fly it with your current battery but I'd think you'd have a much better chance of flying it if you had a lipo.
It's a bit more complicated than that. We'd need to know exactly which motor you're referring to to say. You have to think about its current rating. Some 2200kv motors can only handle a few amps and others can manage 40A or more.
Yes it should work, but I think you'd be better with the 960kv (also listed as 1000kv) version with a 10x4.5 propeller. You should be able to find it on Amazon, Banggood, Aliexpress or Ebay at the same price as the 2200kv version. A couple of weeks ago, they were all 960kv, now they all seem to be 2200kv.
