Quad for Aerial Video

I'm looking for a quadcopter that is able to carry a Canon 60d. I am looking at this gimbal for the quad. It needs to have plenty of power and lifting capabilities. It also needs to be fairly stable. I will be using DJI Naza for the control board.

Thanks

With that camera I would use a hex because if you loose a motor or esc on a quad it's crash time.

Look around the various sites that produce multi's for this task and use their motor, esc specs. That mount is 800 grams. It looks like foxtech is using a DJI Style hexacopter. The DJI frame from Hobby King would do nicely for less than $30 and the motors, props (10" for 3S and 8" for 4S) and ESC's (30amp) for the DJI from here:

Complete air frame with motors, escs and props minus the NAZA controller for $318

NAZA for $230

NAZA GPS for $190 with a $30 off if ordered now.

Total system $300 Camera Gimbal, $318 Frame and Electronics, $230 NAZA, $160 GPS

$1080 and you still need a receiver / transmitter set, a battery or 3 and GOOD charger for same and the camera.

I would budget $1500 or so for the platform and $1500 or so for the camera and accessories!

$3K Grand total

Adds up quick doesn't it? ;)

With that much invested you had better make SURE you can handle any rough situation you might encounter while flying (or a significant monetary loss). That MEANS practice with something MUCH cheaper and a keychain cam till you are Real GOOD at flying a multi.
