RC Kite Nutball?

So having been grounded for the last week with 15+ mph gusty winds, is making me wonder about rc kites. A quick google gave some weird looking kite rc plane things. So what I was actually thinking was a nutball with the rudder on the bottom and about 200 feet of string. Just take your prop off and power with a 2c 500, it should work right? I know the harness will be the most important part, but anything else I need to be thinking about?

I think this would be a (stupidly) good idea, Do it! oh, be mindful that your center of gravity, AND your center of air resistance must be the same if you want this to work good (maybe? I don't really know). You should add a remote release so you can glide it down!

The wind will get very strong so add a carbon rod too the nutball.

Also, how are you planing to mount the servo for the rudder?

I was thinking for the rudder putting the servo in upside down in the power pod. It shouldn't need much to loop and such. I got some time to do the build tonight, but am waiting on shipping for my servos. Will post some pics this weekend.
