do you guys have any suggestions on how I should attach the motor pylons securely and symmetrically?

hoping to mount them in this configuration

If you can add a bit of reflex into the airfoil it will make your life a lot easier - the Clark Y airfoil like most flat bottom airfoils has a pretty strong nose down moment inherent to it, so you might need a good bit of extra up trim without that reflex in the main airfoil.

Overall, looking good, the Flying Flapjack has always been a favorite of mine

kinda just went for the simplest route for the nacelles.

defiantly not the best but who knows maybe they kind of act like wing fences and make a little bit of forward lift to help with the nose down tendency.

also how long should I make the nacelles?

Probably a bit longer going forwards for CG reasons would be my thinking. At this size, they won't really function like wing fences, but you may be able to use the rotation of the props to do something similar. I'm not too familiar with this kind of design aerodynamics wise, but any wingtip vortex formation will also be impacted by the wing/horizontal tail in the back

thanks!

also I am planning on using these rc car suspension shocks on the landing gear. Any ideas on what suspension configuration I should use? right now I'm thinking about using a reverse trailing link configuration but I'm not too sure its the best for a stol plane.

For STOL, something very durable but light. Rubber bands make good springs since they can stretch by a lot and you can put several on to get the intended stiffness

I dunno @telnar1236 , I like the concept of landing gear sucking up the ugly landings. Stuff I was thinking of has springs, mini shock absorbers and limit stops but just rubberbands has an appeal all its own. Afaik, was popular in the '30s, and my '50 Piper Pacer used them ( yuppa 4 ea expensive aircraft grade cotton covered rubberbands holding the gear down and locked)
