Friend lost his quad in a corn field used the directional antenna on his goggles and RSS on the transmitter to find it worked great.

Yup, thank heaven for the patch aerial, directional. 😋.That's exactly what I did. used RDF , radio direction finding, which was exactly how I sailed/ navigated, 500 miles across the Bay of Biscay to La Coruna, NW Spain 50 years ago before the spot on luxury of GPS. (I used GPS though sailing across the Atlantic in my 30 ft boat 20 years later though!)
I knew it was north or south or my position and I was lucky enough to choose south which was the right way to go.
And thankfully not up a tree. Mind you, I had latitude and longitude too.

My English isn't very good, so I still don't understand why you crashed. RTH was working, but why didn't you turn it on? Did your video disappear?

I crashed it. RTH doesn't work when it's on the ground! :cautious: I have now discovered altitude hold in INAV and when testing next time I will use that once at a safe altitude.
