The TX15 only comes in ELRS. An external module is required If you want multiprotocol. That bumps the price up quite a bit if you don't already have a module.

True but most of the people who buy radiomaster controllers usually buy them to use them with fpv. And im also using a pwm express lrs receiver for my planes.

Oh and also im a bit worried I might not have enough switches for my airplanes contrary to what I said before I am now planning on building large airplanes with retractable landing gear and with flaps and tons of servos so how do I know if I have enough switches on my radio ?

That is just heresay. I know plenty of people who fly LOS with RadioMaster, FrSky, and other OpenTX/EdgeTX radios.
Yeah, when i finally get my ELRS radio (Hopefully TX16!) I will probably move all my planes over to ELRS as the receivers are quite cheap and I only have a couple FlySky ones...And I know a pilot who is just starting out and wouldn't mind a couple rx's and a transmitter.

I have almost never dropped my radios I always wear a neck strap and also most radios are pretty durable.

I always use a neck strap, just about really screwed up one time had a gasser that quit taxing out to the runway. Bent over to flip the prop not thinking my radio swung right into prop, thank goodness it did not start first flip. Now anytime I start a nitro or gasser my transmitter is laying on the ground .

I've been setting up all my new aircraft with ELRS receivers. I think I'm up to 8 now. I'm pretty partial to the ER4 using SBus into a HobbyEagle A3S4. Do have a few that are just running the ELRS receiver straight to the servos though. Now that I'm getting battery telemetry on all my new stuff, it pains me to fly my older models with AR630s and such.

The Gen2 Lemons are still tempting though. I like the idea of a panic button, available with the HobbyEagle, but I can't remember the last time I needed it. If I could get myself away from the idea of needing it, the Gen2 Lemons would be a great fit...and cheap.

But still ELRS seems to be the future for now and it's fun to be able to configure stuff via a web browser.
