Help! Receiver antenna end burnt in fire

Hi recently one of the two antenna of Flysky IA-6B receiver got burnt at the end, and I removed the damaged end and kept the wire open. How to know whether now this damaged antenna is functioning or not? Please help,by reviewing the image attached.

you neeed to protect it from getting frayed and also insulate it from touching other power/electronics and causing more issues. If possible, use heat shrink tubing to cover it. You could also tin it with solder to keep it from unravelling, and use a small piece of electrical tape to insulate it.
