Resurrecting a Pterodactyl

Hey everyone!

So as some of you might have seen in the Flite Fest East 2017 Recap a Green Pterodactyl that gracefully... or not so gracefully fell to the ground. Well I am the guy behind the controller.

Anyways, I would love to bring back the Pterodactyl for FFE 2018, but this time actually have a bird that flies.
I am looking for any pointers, tips, or great ideas to help the Pterodactyl get back its wings and be better than ever.
