Is this comparable to the prop drive motor?

Well this is a 3530 not a 3036 like the powerdrive.....It looks less powerful by the specs.

That looks so good! Nice work! That canopy is.. suspect though lol!
@nerdnic! Hey, remember that pontoon you were building? When I saw that, it didn't say "Cessna/Cub pontoon" to me, it screamed "Make me into a Micro Seaplane! I've really wanted to share that with you. That's it. (reactivates cloaking device)

Maidened my nnChipmunk v2 w/ speedwing just now. Except for a possible signal loss (I put the antennas outboard after that) and a lumpy landing it went fine. Comes in at 964g w/o battery. Its set up with the Beef: PropDrive 35-48 1100kV, 80A ESC, 10x8 APC prop, Lemon 7ch w/ gyro. I ran it on a 4S 2400 90C LiHV with the throttle limited to 95%. During testing on the meter it pulled over 1000W @75A with the LiHV, which is too much for the motor. Now I have it pulling 900W @ 65A.

The motor mount is made from plywood and I used 3mm carbon rods in place of bbq skewers throughout the build. I used credit card reinforcement on the inside of the fuse and basswood externally for the motor mount rods (I learned to overdo this from the nnP39). Since the motor and ESC took up so much room, I ended up doing a hatch behind the main opening for access to the receiver gyro pots.

Due to the weight, it needs to go fast. I also need throttle/elevator mix as she wants to climb when you give it full throttle. I built it with flaps since I typically have to deal with less than ideal wind directions. As advertised, it can give you white knuckle speeds.

Looks great! Maybe you would like to enter your plane in the 2025 Seed challenge?

This is tempting. I'll look into a gps module; I've been curious about them anyway.
