Rewinding a 12n 14p

Hello! I had a rough crash a busted some of the coils in my 12n 14p brushless motor. The rest of the motor is fine, so I proceeded to pull the windings off, tear apart an old transformer, and re-wind the motor according to this article (dLRK style):

Upon completion the motor just kind of "clinked" as if it is stalled. I didn't see any shorts between any of the windings, so I unwound it and tried again, to make sure I had wound it correctly. No change. So I got some brand new enameled wire and rewound it with a single wire instead of four, with four rotations as the motor came from the factory. Still just stalls. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
