Oh yeh talking of weight, already broken an arm on my ZMR (that brings the broken arm count up to 5 now).

Basically doing LOS and well got a little carried away and put the rates up to 0.85 and did up up expo, needless to say did a quadrupel flip then plumpeted towards the earth...

may i suggest you try some of these upgraded 4mm arms? the quality of carbon is good.. im quite happy 1 week to get to me, and they speak perfect english.

i guess the only other option would be the thug 5mm zmr upgraded arms. ( its made from good quality carbon too, my thug elite frame has 5mm arms.. so either of them i would recommend.. )

i think after 5 arms i would be looking into them. :D heh.

just a thought.

MultiRC (the maker of the HMB quad) also sells 6.35mm HDPE arms for the ZMR. Probably heavier than CF, but unlikely to break anytime soon.

Here are the Red20RC arms Ocean is talking about. They are more expensive than the ones jipp linked to, and Red20RC is based in Australia so I'm not sure how shipping compares.

I got lexan arms on it right now, I haven't flown her yet because she is my first and I don't have the fpv bits or props

Do you think they would fit on an emax frame snarls?

these will fit.

also the ones from aussie are only 3mm..

if you gonna replace arms may as well upgrade to 4mm,5mm instead of just going back with original 3mm i think 4mm is a good compromise. .. seems logical.

also the arms you have on thee should be bullet proof.. :D so you should not need to worry about broken arms id hope.. but then i dunno how strong or tough that bullet proof plastic is. :p

I would think a well designed 4mm arm is all you need.

I will be very surprised if you break them crashing in grass or hard ground. I wouldn't push your luck crashing into pavement. :p

Yeh dw i tend to fly wither in Woods or over Rugby and football pitches, so i should be safe. I think it is the weight of my motors, the 50g adds a lot interms of moments onto increasing the force the arm is stuck.

Anyway, should have to see, going to rebuild and test fly for tueday hopefully

Add the Thug Arm (they are huge) and also did some much needed wire shortening and clearing up.

Am pretty pleased, me and Ocean + a few others are organising a race at our school, hoping to get some people interested in the hobby

I think the failure mode now will be cracking the main frame plates, possibly shearing the screws.
