Running 19" LED TV on Lipos Help please

I want to run a 19" LED TV on 3300mAh 3cell LiPo. The TV has a power brick that says the output is 12v 3A so I purchased a 12V 3A UBEC to put between the TV and the LiPo. The specs on the TV say it will pull 24Watts with a max of 30Watts. I have listed the links to all the parts used below. Does anyone see why this set up will not work? I have not tried it yet for fear of burning out the TV and I have not received the UBEC yet.

Your on the right track but I think you should have gone with a larger bec. Your running the bec at 100% and that will increase its chance of failing. Running off of that size of lipo you would only be able to run it for 45 min. tops. I don't know your situation but I've made a cigarette adapter for my monitors and receiver to plug into my truck.

The link to the tv is dead for me but if it has an external power supply and the ps says 12V at 3A you should be perfectly fine plugging that 3s 3300 straight into the monitor. Send the BEC back!!

If you think this sounds crazy then let me explain a little further. Your power source, be it a power supply or a battery, will only provide the amount of current (amps) the device is asking for. Its the volts that'll get ya! In other words, you could hook that tv to a 12volt 100amp battery and it would do the tv absolutely no harm. Where the current comes in when dealing with batteries and power supplies is making sure your power supply/battery can provide enough current for the draw of your device, not the other way around. Hope this makes sense!

The BEC is only going to give you 5-6v so what BnY says is the way you want to go. Just use the pack alone and bypass the BEC.
