S550 Build

I purchased a S550 kit off Amazon that comes with the carbon frame, the 6 motors, ESCs, Pixhawk 4 flight controller, GPS, etc, and a Radiolink AT-10II controller. I got the whole thing pieced together, and really thought it would be as simple as turning on the controller, flipping a few of my connections out for the right ones and I'd have a working aircraft at its basics. I couldn't have been further from the truth. Fast forward a few weeks and its sitting on my desk in my office with a stack of spare props waiting to get broke (I know I'll break a few learning to fly it so came prepared, plus I have a few different pitches to try out). I'm new to the 'modern' RC world, but I'm kind of a jack of all trades guy, and if I can build it or make it VS buy it, I will.

So I do a little research and get on AudruPilot Mission Planner...ok, cool. I get the motors to test, GPS to calibrate and honestly it looks like what I had thought of having my buddy develop for me from my ISR days...so win win. but then when I disconnect the flight controller from the computer (PIA itself, but have found it works much faster on an old laptop I have vs my new computer) nothing will happen. Plug it back in and there is a list of Master Caution/Warnings that I need assistance (you kind folks) to maybe help me out. Its been a few weeks of tinkering and trouble shooting this and that, but still no progress. I know right now I'm in a bit over my head, but I know I can figure this out and probably just a few clicks away from it working, just need to get it airborne and learn to fly my own machine.

Even if you have like a link or something I may have missed, like the programming of the controller videos, I've done it, but like when I plug in the battery transmitter, I loose signal. I thank yall for your help.

if you have a list of Caution/Warnings showing up in the software, then lets start by getting that full list.

What flight controller software are you using? given the Pixhawk, my first guess would be arducopter.

youre correct on the aruducopter, I don't have it yet in front of me but the first ones I'm getting are the *throttle min set too low* and *too high warnings* I read to have them set both above and below a few thresholds usually around the 900/1100 range and I've monkied with that but nada

BTW I watched the vid of your flyingwing last night, very sensitive to fly, the Germans had a heck of time developing the flying wing and the B2 has so many fly by wire commands its a brick by itself!

First step would be to work through each of the errors/warnings and clear them out..

searching the web for "aruducopter --exact error message--" would be the first step I would suggest for each one. given that they are standard error messages, there should be someone else who had the same problem, asked and got an answer on how to fix it.

Wake up! Time to fly!
Maybe start here. Painless360 is one of the best content makers for all things RC flight IMO. there may be an updated series as things get better over time so check for that as well. At least this will familiarize you with what needs to be done and may even be good enough to put you in the air.

I see your picture has the props on inside... PLEASE take the props off until you are outside ready to attempt flight. If something is set wrong thast an aweful big thing to be flipping about in the same room you are in. Spinny vegomatics of deaths that beasty is.

Sorry for the delay, I take care of my folks and my dad got a bit sick at the same time I got a migrane I couldn't shake. Anyway, Figured out 99% of my issues just figuring some of the things out. I got the throttle working and slowly working my way though the parameter list and clearing those one by one.

Side note, picked up a Mavic Air 1 from a buddy and been making some cool vids just playing around and also hoping to get my LiDAR system my buddy is building soon
