Santa Claus's Restoration Project

Here is the Santa Claus and sleigh I made last year from the plans LocalFiend created (you can find the details in this thred). It had a few rough landing last year and spent 11 months in storage so it needs a little TLC. The plan is to have him ready for the air by the 24th. Shouldn't take too much time. It was a real hit last year. If I have time I am thinking about adding some kind of candy cane drop but we will see.

The restoration was successful however the flight was not. The first attempt failed due to the prop being too small. The second attempt got airborne however a few seconds into the flight the controls became unresponsive and it nosed into the ground. I think this was caused by a brown out. It was very cold ( -35 c with the wind) and my batteries are not in the best of shape. I don't think it could handle the cold and the load at the same time. Time to start planing for next year...

Hi
I'm new to this forum and to flying. I recently purchased the mini Mario bundle but highly interested in a holiday project. I've been wanting to build a flying Santa sleigh like yours for my kids. Do you know where I can look or who to contact for plans for this build plus tell me anything needed as to getting it off the ground. I was thinking drone but I'm quite open to suggestions and recommendations. Much appreciated!
