Scrap build plane has a SUPER maiden

To my surprise, as I had to guess the wing incidence angles when I glued them on, my Lidl Hawk flew really well on its maiden flight. It was built from some throw out Hawk spare wings and a Lidl cheap foamie chuck glider fuselage. Motor is BR1806, 5045 propeller, 12A ESC and 1000 mA 2s lipo. It was a shock to me too when it flew when I chucked it! And then it was pretty good once I'd trimmed it, until I think I tip stalled it.
I'll try it again with a bit more nose weight and less elevator throw when we get a decent day. I think it should fly well.
Very satisfying making something from scrap wings and getting it to fly.
