Hey everyone!
First off, I just want to say how much I love and appreciate Flite Test and this amazing community.
I recently decided to take on a new project: I did an FT-style foamboard redesign of a classic balsa and nitro trainer plane known as the "Banana". I drew up the new plans from scratch using Inkscape.
My goal is for this to be a fantastic, forgiving trainer for absolute beginners. For the wing design, I took heavy inspiration from the FT Mini Tiny Trainer plans. The fuselage and overall size are designed to be fully compatible with the FT Mighty Mini series electronics (Power Pack A/F).
I want to share my current plans with you all here. I’m hoping to get some feedback and see if anyone would be interested in collaborating to help me tweak and improve the design. I'd love to polish it up so we can share a great, finalized version for everyone in the community to build and enjoy.
(You can find the Inkscape/PDF file attached below)
Let me know what you think! Any advice, critique, or help with the design would be hugely appreciated.
Happy flying!
