It probably could be converted to edf if one wanted.

I'm running a new set up yo test.
2212-1800kv with 6x4 TGS prop. 185 watts of power. Seems to be enough and at 12 au bucks from banggood for motor and 30 amp esc, runs cool too. After initial flight, if it's still in one peice I'll try a 6x5.

Been a while since I posted here. SU-34 crashed.

Love these thing so much had to build another one. Drew up 3 planes, cut out 2 of them and glued one together. Now I have some redundancy for flying low and fast like an idiot!

Slightly larger tail makes a big difference to the control and stability.
I'll post again "when" I write this one off!

I think I will build one for my cousin, he's not a very experienced pilot but I guess making one out of cardboard and a lot of fiber tape could be strong enough, and maybe a gyro too.

Seems to me a lot of you guys are having the same ideas as I have-- which is stripping the poster board of it's paper so you can be able to sand it (the board) to smooth out the rough angles and to be able to build compound curves. Is that some kinda of mono-kote (Lite-kote) you are applying to the foam board. If so, are you ironing it onto the board or are you attaching it by other means (3M spray adhesives).
I'm a balsa stick and tissue guy, but would like to try "raw" foam poster board in place of balsa.

Here in Australia we have limited options in regards to foam. I use depron which is expensive but strong in combination with hobbyking foam 10mm.
I have tried the 5mm stock but it's not so great.

Progress on the Raptor, almost ready for the electrics!
2836-1500kv running a 7x6 TGS prop
2x 12g MG servos
50amp esc
2200mah 3s 40c battery

Hope to finish for maiden flight this Sunday. I'll vido if I get the chance.

Also finished and flew this little f-18

It's either too heavy or needs more wing area. Either way I'm limited to a 5 inch prop. Kinda stable but needs plenty of throttle to fly decently.
