Seaduck maiden

I built a Seaduck over the Winter and it has been staring at me and I was scared to fly it. So many things could go wrong. With its differential thrust and its two powerful motors there was no way I got it right.
I laid it on the ground and pushed the throttle forward. Much to my surprise it took off. It is a very fast plane (faster than anything else I have flown) and it is very docile.
Here is my tip for those thinking about building this plane. Do it.

I agree 100%. :)

I'll tell you, the Seaduck didn't intimidate me like other planes for one reason: No torque roll tendencies. I think the counter-rotating prop configuration helps with this. So there's no crazy unpredictable maneuvers once it's airborne. Just follows a straight line and up she goes. Super easy and fun plane to fly...and of course good looking too thanks to the old Disney cartoon. :D The only thing I had to do to mine was some down trim on the elevator.
