Ok,Thanks, didnt spot the other bits half asleep here in the UK), yes want to reduce the whole thing, can you just use Adobe with the correct scale factor to do this?
This is probably going to sound crazy but would like one a bit smaller maybe 24/25 inches wingspan,I have no experience of reducing plans ,will it just be the formers /internal bits that need resizing or am I wasting my time?As I see it reducing a 2d plan is ok for wing shape but as it doesn’t take into account foam thickness so it messes up the internal bits including wing spars and thus wing shape but dont want to reinvent the wheel when this is such a good design. This thread seems to suggest reducing by 30 % maximum is ok,any thoughts?Have posted your thread there for any advice as well, hope that’s ok.
Hey you guys. I put together a little video to show you all how I personally resize (up or down) FT plans for my planes. Its worked perfectly for me and thought Id pass it on to you all.
The only issue i can see for this would be the power pod plus the front frame would be undersized, and unfortunately the BF109 is such a small frame that it would be difficult to put a normal sized frame in the nose and still have the skins fit fine. You may have to keep the power pod and front frame scaled down and then attach the motor mounting plate to the front of that, or just have a permanently fix the motor mounting plate in place and not worry about a power pod.
The plane as is at 32" flies very scale, so a scaled down version would squirrelly I'm assuming. And the only thing to note about whether it should fly well is that at full scale, I had to increase the throws of my elevator servo to get the kind of maneuverability I was looking for. The BF109 tail is pretty small, so just make sure you have enough control surface to have good elevator control.

Ok,thanks,am going to take a chance and reduce it by 15% maximum,to 27.2 inches ,build it and hope it all still fits!
I plan to use a 2S, 300 mah battery with a 20 A esc and 1806 2300 kv (A-pack)- with a 6x3 prop .-only looking for scale speed
