I realized that I had all of the components needed to build a 180 size quad except the frame and props, so I decided to pick up a Tweaker frame and give it a try. I'll keep track of my progress here.

Specs:

MK 16: Shendrones Tweaker

motors: Tiger Motor 1806 2300KV
ESCs: DYS SN20a (BLHeli)
FC: SP Racing F3 acro (Betaflight)
RX: FrSky X4R-SB
props: HQ 4x4.5 bullnose

5V regulator: Pololu 2843
battery: Lumenier 4S 1300 mAh 60C

FPV camera: HS1177
FPV TX: Hawkeye 5.8 GHz 200 mW
FPV antenna: ImmersionRC 5.8 GHz SpiroNET

motor to motor distance: 180 mm
all up weight: 416 g

Here's what the frame parts look like.

OK, the blue candy isn't part of the frame, but it does come with it.

The carbon looks good, and the cuts are clean.

Those are indeed some clean cuts. The only thing that looks a bit weak is at the rear corners of the big square cut-out

The frame comes with 35 mm aluminum spacers and 6 mm bolts.

I'm swapping those out for 30 mm nylon spacers and 10 mm aluminum bolts.

This will give the quad a little lower profile look. Plus, I shaved off a few grams of weight.

The frame weighs in at 58 g.

sounds like a plan. i bought some 1306 sunny's a few months back for a 180mm build.. however, i think ill get use some 1806s and save the 1306 for a smaller build. i got a good deal on the sunnys so was worth a chance on the quality.. from a visual inspection they should be fine.
will be good to hear about the durability of the tweaker, as that is the frame ill end up getting for a 180mm build this winter.

i was gonna get a thug 180mm but screw the exchange rate.. not worth it now there are other 180mm on the market.

That's hilarious. Its called The Tweaker and comes with blue rock candy. Nice Breaking Bad reference. That must be because of the fast reflexes needed to fly it.

I knew you would get one ;)

Certainly looks like this will be one hell of a build with those Tigers and an F3.

You okay, Cyber? Starting to worry about you. ;)

For the larger, <250mm mini's, using small diameter metal or nylon screws many times is a design intention, so they can shear off before splitting the spacer or tearing the frame plates. These little 180's are 60% the mass, so there's much less worry or need to incorporate that intended fail-point feature. Having a nice long screw deep in the plastic spacers insures it will not fail.
