yeah, i would not want plastic on a larger quad ( for example.. black outs plastic screws/ etc.. talk about a money pit.. replace with metal be done with it like recommend by the pros ).. but in this case.. you only have 10mm that is plastic that is not reinforced with metal.. chances of that snapping there would have to be very high..

but i think what zen was talking about was he has a build almost every week :D

I mounted the vtx to the top plate so I would have access to the dip switches through one of the cutouts.

I cut a piece of some adhesive back neoprene and stuck it on the top plate to make a pad for the battery. It will provide a little cushion and hopefully keep the battery in place in crashes.

The dry weight is 266 g.

A 4S 1300 brings the AUW to 416 g.

The motor to motor distance is right at 180 mm (the camera angle here is bad so it doesn't look like it, but zero is right in the middle of the motor on the left side).

i agree looks like it will be fun. liquid tape on these boards. i know its for protection i just keep thinking but what if i need to get to it.. seems like it be hard to clean up. but iv been told on here it just peels off. i guess ill have to get some and experiment with it.. right now on my first build i have no moisture protection.. but then where i live i guess it does not really matter.

It's very easy to peel off. It dries into kind of a stretchy, rubbery layer. You just get the corner started with an xacto knife, then you can just grab it and peel it off with your fingers. It stays in one piece.
