Silver paint and Rx signal strength

I would like to paint some of my FT planes with chrome like (possibly aluminum pigment) rustoleum.

Has anyone done this before? Did it reduce the signal strength?

Yes, no. I've done it on 3 planes and none had a loss of signal. I hope this helps.

I've been wondering the same, you should expect some loss. The same for using aluminiumtape. I've seen a P51 with it, I think it was on this forum. Anyone flown some distance with a plane like that (with RSSI reading?)
