"Why spend hundreds of pounds on a reliable fpv quad and setup when you can have the whole package for under £40?" I though to myself as I peeled my eyes off the drone racing championships on the TV to look at my pile of unused cheap quads. I wanted to get into fpv but could not afford the whole setup so I found a little "£10 Holy Stone® Predator" beginner quad and a crashed "£30 FPV whoop" and started work. First I took apart the whoop (name and company unknown) and removed the camera, it was badly wired and unreliable so had to be rewired and programmed later on in the build. Next I took apart the whoops transmitter, removed the once again badly wired and unreliable monitor that also had to be rewired and programmed later on in the build. Then I roughly cut out an FPV goggle template and glued it together using 7mm dual melt hot glue sticks. Now I had to glue the monitor in and bodge job the rest of the transmitter electronics onto the front. Finally I had to find a way to apply the camera to the quad without damaging the quad or camera, I decided to place a small bit of tape around the abdomen of the quad and hot glued the camera onto the bottom, FPV quad finished!
