I was walking with my family through an old golf course turned arboretum in Tuscaloosa today, and we happened upon some college-age people flying a hexacopter. As I got closer, I noticed a few other planes, mostly fixed wing birds with gps pucks on 'em. One was an FT Bronco.
I don't live very close to there, and the folks in my area aren't very aviation-minded. I was glad to see these guys getting together on the weekends to fly and experiment together, but saddened at the same time, for myself.
