Here is a heli model that I have been practicing with. It's a discontinued model called the Hoverfly, made by a UK company: SnellFlight. The help and support I have had from these guys is great too!

The idea is a free spinning rotor with 3 x 18v motors and small props at each end. It is powered by a tether wire and buddy links into my TX. This gives me indefinite flight times, which is much better than cycling batteries on my mini blades. I really like the feel of flying this and I hope it builds a skill set that I can carry over to my first out door heli, whatever that may be?
