Some good FPV plane plans?

Heya FliteTest!

So im here once again for advice, mainly on reccomendations for fpv platforms.
Im looking for something i can scratch build for fpv. I would idealy like the specs to be:

Good flight time
Lots of room
Stable? (im also quite happy with wings!)
Not massively complicated!

Size is not really an issue either but price is!
The cheaper the better eh' but i would like a decent reliable setup i can use for moderatly long range fpv (im going to purchase a 5.8ghz 200mw-400mw tx/rx aswell as using my hd camera for video! So idealy i would not like to experience it flying of into the distance!

Also something that is fairly good in turbulence and wind would be very good addition as here in Britian the weather is .... unpredictable!

Thanks a bunch for reading!

Post plan links below please :D

Ps. the range im hoping for is around 2m<

Two meters of range? LOL
That should be easy to attain!

I'm thinking he meant wingspan though...

The HK EPP FPV is probably not what you are asking for since you asked for plans, however, it does meet your criteria except for cheap. I'm not sure I've seen any FPV foamy models that big or that will be able to deal with the wind. I have seen a number of good FPV plans on experimental airlinesand on mikeysRC. Flitetest even did a spot on Mikey's build that I linked to above.

At 2m, should be able to see the camera screen from the plane, but MAN those turns gotta be tight!

Assuming you mean 2km or 2mi, you'll be surprised what you can do even shorter range than that, but you're getting to the edge of a standard RX. Still, easily do-able in a low interference environment.

As for cheap, simple airframes:

Flite test crew scratch built this one. from the video, seems a lot simpler than it looks. also should have good payload.

Might also be able to use a Fowl Flyer or Old Fogey, with large sized motors:

Alternitively check out Experimental Airlines's Axion, Synapse, or Ozone:

I like the FT Cruiser because of the camera placement between the two motors. It will be a bit more expensive because it does have two motors instead of one.

I also like the FT Versa wing set up with a pusher and camera in the nose.

I have the FT Cruiser new in the box, and the Versa Wing is on it's way.

I'll be building the wing first. Reports should be in by this time next week.

I like the wing...and having never flown one before, I have to say I really like it in the air. I need to work on the launch a little but once it's airborne, FUN!

xuzme, I will admit, I laughed quite a bit at your video with your wife at the controls of the camera.

She was excessively apologetic, where my wife would have told me the camera was stupid, my planes were stupid, and I was stupid, thrown the camera at the ground, or me, and walked away.

I know this is an old topic but I have to second that on the weather, I haven't been able to fly for over 4 weeks now because of our crazy UK weather!

Personally, for fpv I like high wing planes, a large wingspan high wing with dihedral is super stable.

"wings" are fast and more aggressive but I'm into "sightseeing" pleasure flights at high and low altitude rather than racing.
